Flowing Noodles “Nagashi Somen” – Japan

Nagashi Somen

The hot summer days in Kyoto and Kagoshima call for “Nagashi Somen” (“Flowing Noodles”), a fun Japanese eating style that serve noodles in an interesting way – racing by in a bamboo pipe full of flowing water. Normally once the thin wheat noodles are caught, they are dipped in a cup of flavorful sauce and eaten cold. Go get ’em chopsticks ready for this unique experience!

Great capture by Schönes Japan.
