Shinkyo Bridge – Japan

Shinkyo Bridge Japan

If you are ever visiting the beautiful city of Nikkō in Japan and are making your way to the Futarasan jinja, a Shinto shrine, be sure to also stop by the stunning Shinkyo bridge. According to Japanese myth, it’s said that this bridge was created out of two snakes sent from Jinja-Daio, the river god, to allow a priest and his disciples to cross the river before they disappeared back in to the river after reaching the other side. Interesting eh?
