Huangshan “Yellow” Mountains – China

Huangshan Mountains

Known as one of the most scenic mountainous areas in China, the Huangshan Mountains are listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Now before you assume that they are called the “Yellow Mountains” due to their color, let me tell you that they were actually named after the legendary Yellow Emperor, Huang Di, in 747 AD. Here you can enjoy hot springs, take amazing photographs, go hiking, visit Buddhist temples and even watch beautiful sunrises and sunsets!
