If you are taking a trip to Porto in Portugal, don’t forget to visit one of the most stunning religious UNESCO World Heritage Sights in the world! The Church of Saint Francis (Igreja de São Francisco), a Gothic monument known for its Baroque interior decoration made up of more than two hundred kilograms of gold leaf, will just take your breath away upon entering! It came as a surprise finding out that during Napoleans invasion of the city in 1809, this beautiful place was used as a horse stable! Can you believe it? 🙈
