This has got to be one of the most unique markets in the world! The Maeklong Railway Market is unusual since a train passes through it up to 8 times a day. It has been around since 1905 and is located in the province of Samut Songkhram, located on the Gulf of Thailand. Here you can find vendors selling Thai sweets, meat, seafood, vegetables, fruits and drinks, without a worry about the train passing through. They just cooly move their belongings when they hear it! One of the main reasons as to why this market was built was for easier transport of goods around the area, especially to the capital. By the way, do you spot the train in the back?
